Discrimination-Emotional Reflections A Chairs Journey

A collection that highlights the symbolism of human connection through the use of minimalism, geometry, and the management of empty space to convey a deep emotional message. By using the simplicity of elements, it transmits a profound sense of isolation and reflection. In this piece, titled "Discrimination," I aimed to capture the silent pain that stems from exclusion. I use chairs, as in other works of mine, but this time their arrangement is key: a compact, closed group contrasts with a single chair isolated to one side. That chair, distanced from the circle, symbolizes those who have been marginalized, rejected, or simply not accepted. The emptiness surrounding it is not just a physical space; it’s a metaphor for the emotional void felt by those who experience discrimination. By playing with light and shadow, I sought to create an atmosphere that intensified the feeling of distance. The long shadows of the chairs in the group seem to connect them, while the solitary chair is trapped
