In this piece, I wanted to represent the importance of the working class, those who are often seen as the most fragile part of society but, in reality, are the most fundamental. The pawn, though it may be the humblest piece in chess, is also the foundation upon which the entire game is built. Without pawns, there is no king; without the working class, the entire structure collapses. This pawn, worn and solitary in a desolate and hostile landscape, reinforces the idea that, although they often go unnoticed or even ignored, they bear the burdens and remain steadfast. The visible wear on the piece reflects their daily sacrifices, the constant and silent dedication of those who support the entire social structure from its foundations.
